On Sunday the three teams at the top of the table all managed to win, Corinthians took an impressive 0-2 away win against São Paulo in the São Paulo derby, Cruzeiro also won away from home beating Vitória 0-1 and in the last game of the day Fluminense beat Vasco da Gama 1-0 to reestablish their one point lead over the other two teams.

In mid table Atlético Paranaense pulled off a surprise 0-1 away win against Flamengo.

Bottom of the table Grêmio Prudente came back from 0-1 against second bottom side Goiás to win the game 4-1, they would still need to win all of their four remaining games to have a chance of staying in the division but this result helped to keep their slim survival hopes alive for another game at least.
